Easy Parking

Enjoy spectacular views west and south into New York state, and east into mountains.

At the parking area you will cross the street to pick up the Long Trail.

From Brandon Gap, follow the Long Trail north for 0.7 miles to a blue blazed spur trail that leads 0.1 miles up a set of rock steps out to the Great Cliff.  The trail is quite steep, but views at the top are worth every step.

From March to August of some years, the cliffs are closed to protect nesting Peregrine falcons.  Watch for closure signs.

Rebecca Nichols Explorer

I hike to push my limits both mentally and physically, take in the beauty of the great outdoors, and just to get away from it all. Every chance I get you will find me in the mountains, on a kayak or ending my day by the campfire!
