We’re a small, bootstrapped team committed to building a better, more inclusive home for the modern outdoors.

We’re always looking for smart, passionate, skilled members of our community, obsessed with the outdoors and travel, to join our team and help support and expand our platform and community. We are 100% remote (pre-and-post pandemic) and primarily asynchronous. Our team works across timezones, but we line up a few hours during the workday EST/PST. We start with a part-time contract (3-6 months), with the goal of expanding to a long-term relationship.

Engineering

Hiring: Part-time Contracts, Fully-Remote, PST/EST

Want to shake up the outdoor industry? We are looking for skilled, passionate, cross-functional, multi-disciplinary software engineers, passionate about the outdoors and travel, that are active in the open source community and experienced with building and scaling production software.   • React Native /Expo Software Engineer

    We are looking for React Native Engineers with experience building cross-platform, production Expo Applications (iOS, Android and Web) in Typescript.

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years experience in Expo, React Native, React-Navigation, React-Hooks
    • A solid focus on user requirements, user experience, performance and usability
    • A desire to write clean, documented, well structured Typescript

    Additional Skills:

    • PNPM, Typescript, ESLINT
    • State Management with React Hooks
    • Native library experience (Location, Camera,etc)
    • Custom Native library support with the Expo Dev Client
    • GeoSpatial experience with Leafleft,Mapbox or Google Maps

  • MapLibre / Open Street Map Software Engineer

    We are looking for Software Engineers experienced in building engaging and interactive front-end maps with Typescript, MapLibre GL and Open Street Maps.

    Requirements:

    • 2-3 years experience working with Open Street Map Data and Software
    • Experience with Vector Map File Formats (GeoJSON, MVT, PBF) File Formats
    • Experience with MapLibre GL Expressions
    • Experience with OSM Data (nodes, ways, relations) and software

  • SEO Consultant

    We are looking to add an experienced SEO Consultant who will be responsible for monitoring SEO performance and using data insights to uncover opportunities and develop strategy. You’ll work closely with the Engineering and executive leadership to properly implement SEO best practices.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years in SEO analysis or consulting
    • SEO experience in the Outdoor Sports and/or Traval Industry
    • Proven experience in increasing organic search traffic
    • A keen understanding of top and bottom-line SEO metrics
    • Working knowledge of the ever-changing SEO landscape
    • Excellent web analytics skills
    • Experience with SEO tools such as (SEMRush)
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
