The Woods, The Wall, and The Night: Day 2 at The Pursuit Series, Bear Valley

By: Pursuit Series + Save to a List

Much ventured. Much gained. Words and Images from Day 2 at the Pursuit Series, Bear Valley.

The refreshment professionals at Brew Dr. Kombucha helped adventurers stay cool as the temperatures slowly rose in the summer Sierra sun. Runners tried the latest trail shoes from Merrell and swapped their low-profiles for the latest socks from Wigwam.

Up above the Valley would-be climbers tried their hands (and feet) at sending their first routes while the hydration experts at GU Energy Labs dispersed energy tabs and Stroopwafels.

Afternoon classes of campfire cooking by Stanley, and fly-fishing by the experts at Tenkara USA, and mountain biking by Trek, and taking your Adventure International with MT Sobek, and setting up your own solar energy grid with Inergy (really!), spilled into the Titos Happy Hour + Wigwam/Leki Cornhole Tournament.

Some aspiring overlanders hopped in the absurdly epic 4WD vehicles from Pacific Overlander to march over rocks and through the sugar pines to catch an epic sunset, while others prepped for night rides and runs or astro-photography classes with the experts sporting the latest in camera equipment from Sony.

The evening ended on the highest of notes: with dancing and revelry late into the night with friends old and new, summoned by the musical maestros of Left on Tenth.

Magic was had.

Everyone was outside.
