Paddle Board (SUP) at Caluwayan, Samar

First, I'd recommend calling the resort ahead of time (+63 977-354-5692) to see if you can reserve a beach cottage. We had rolled up after a two hour drive to find out there were no more cottages available, BUT my roommate and I were two Americans with a Filipino family and for some reason that convinced them to let us use a table under a shade tent.

I'd still recommend calling though...

From Tacloban City we drove over the San Juanico Bridge into Samar where it was sudden change of rural landscape and mountains alone curvy roads.

Upon arrival a guard at the resort will speak to you, park, and from there you settle into your open beach front cottage and enjoy your time.

Even the rain couldn't stop us from an epic and rather refreshing SUP ride. Paddle to a small beach off the shore, hang out under little islands, and even find a good rock to jump off of!

Beach cottage for the day = 500 PHP
Paddle board and oar for one hour = 300 PHP per person

The resort also has access to other activities for rent/purchase/use such as a bar & restaurant, kayaking, infinity pool, volleyball & basketball, showers, etc.
