Stretch your legs and get tangled up in the beauty of this roadside waterfall.

Tangle Creek Falls is a stunning multi-tiered waterfall along the Icefields Parkway in Jasper National Park. There is a small turnout to park in about a mile north of the Glacier Skywalk, and it comes up pretty fast, so make sure you take that section of road slow and keep an eye out for parking.

A great feature about the falls is that you can enjoy them from the road, or get up close to them with a short and easy climb. We took one of several short, unmarked paths to the top of the falls which was well worth the extra effort.

When we visited we were also treated to a herd of bighorn sheep who were perched on top of a nearby ledge just above the road.

Hike along the Athabasca Glacier

This is not an advertisement for the guided tour, but you will see so much more of the glacier than if you do a bus tour or just visit the roped off visitor area.
