The Beauty of Northern Oregon in Photos

From The Dalles to the Columbia River Valley to the culturally unique city of Portland, northern Oregon is a special place that boasts some truly amazing outdoor recreation!

The perfect horse shoe shape of this road (Rowena Crest) makes for some great photography opportunities!

Multnomah Falls is probably the most famous of any of the attractions in the area, and for good reason! Though it will have the most people around, the sheer size of these roaring falls is something to behold!

Peaceful little streams like this run rampant all over Northern Oregon, just try not to fall in.

Not all who wander are lost, except for us, we were lost here. We were more than okay with getting lost down the winding dirt roads around the Columbia River Gorge.

A quick little hike over from Multnomah Falls will land you here at Oneonta Gorge. After stumbling about a half mile through the creek (with water up to your chest at one point) you will find yourself at this cascading waterfall surrounding by walls of green moss!

The Dalles are covered with beautiful trails that run just about everywhere, with Mt. Hood looming in the background at all times.

Portland is a weird place, but I like to think it's weird in a good way (and so do the locals)! A truly vibrant city that's close to some of the West Coast's most beautiful nature, it's very challenging to be bored here!

BONUS (Washington side of the river) - Falls Creek Falls; a terrible name for a waterfall but one that cannot be missed!

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
