Get a Bird's Eye View of Nairobi
Nairobi, Kenya
5.0
The best view Nairobi has to offer! This incredible 360 view is definitely worth the vertigo you feel when you're standing on top of this tower. It's a $5 entrance fee you will pay upon entering the center and then you'll ride the elevator all the way to the top. Be careful with small children because the railing is very low on the top of the building!
Visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
Nairobi, Kenya

Less than 20km from downtown Nairobi, Kenya, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is easy to get to and well worth the visit! Here you will be able to learn about elephant conservation, sponsor a baby elephant (US$50/year), watch the elephants feed and if you are lucky, you might even get to pat one of the babies. You are free to take as many pictures as you want.

Venture out to Rolf's Place for a fun adventure and a delicious lunch. On the drive out there you will pass by Nairobi National Park and you will see some wildlife if you keep a close eye; we saw giraffes, warthogs, and zebras. Definitely worth the drive for this awesome experience and meal!

Visit the Karen Blixen Garden
Nairobi, Kenya
Karen Blixen wrote the memoir Out of Africa and this beautiful area offers a restaurant, museum, local art, and a gift shop - so there's something for everyone! It's a great place to go if you're in the area or if you're looking for a fun half day trip from Nairobi City Center.
Tour the Kazuri Bead Factory
Nairobi, Kenya
Kazuri means "small and beautiful" and that's exactly what kind of beads they produce here. The mission of the factory is to provide sustainable jobs to the local woman of Nairobi and contribute to the fair trade market. The tour is free to take, but I highly recommend visiting the shop afterwards to view the incredible jewelry and ceramics that are produced.
Photograph the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint
B 3, Kenya
If you're headed out of Nairobi this is the perfect place to stop. At the viewpoint there are little stalls to get food or drink, use the bathroom, or simply take in the view of the Great Rift Valley. It's free to stop and photography is allowed!
