Giraffe Centre Nairobi Kenya - Search Nearby - Added by Shelby Bauer
The Giraffe Centre is the perfect destination for up close encounters with giraffes in a nature reserve outside the hustle and bustle of Nairobi!
Located just outside of the downtown busyness of Nairobi, Kenya, the Giraffe Centre is easy to get to and worth the visit! The centre is open daily from 9:00-5:00. It only costs 1000 shillings (about $10) for adults and 500 shillings (about $5) for children. If you are a student under the age of 23 you can also take advantage of the children's rate of 500 shillings (about $5) by providing your student ID. This fee provides visitors with access to the giraffe sanctuary as well as the nature reserve across the street.
At the giraffe sanctuary, you are free to take as many pictures as you desire. You can even feed the giraffes and give them a kiss if you want! The giraffes are very friendly and perfect for photos.
Also, the sanctuary is much less crowded right when it opens, so I would highly advise getting there as close to 9:00 as possible for ideal time with the giraffes.
The nature reserve across the street is awesome too! The staff members at the sanctuary are available to take you along various nature trails and provide interesting facts about the landscape, animals, and Kenya.
