1. Catch a Sunset at Trillium Lake

Whether you want to catch your own dinner or kayak on the calm waters, sunsets at Trillium definitely won’t disappoint. With Mt. Hood reflecting on the water, it sets the perfect scene and is one of the most photogenic lakes in Oregon. Learn more.

2. Hike the Oneonta Gorge

There are 4 waterfalls that run through the Oneonta Gorge, but the most famous one is Lower Oneonta Falls. You’ll have to climb over huge log jams and wade through chest deep freezing water, but what you find at the end of this hike is priceless. Learn more.

3. Take the Rim Drive at Crater Lake National Park

No trip to Oregon is complete without taking the scenic route on the Rim Drive in Crater Lake National Park. This 33-mile loop around the Lake provides stunning views from every angle and gives you a great sense of the massive scale of this place. This canyon of the Columbia River stretches over 80 miles and forms the boundary between Oregon and Washington. The amount of precipitation and wide range of elevation creates a diverse ecosystem with a ton of different plant and animal species. The Oregon Coast stretches 363 miles from the Columbia River to the border of California.
