22 Incredible Adventures in Chile and Argentina

Go big this winter and head south.

By: The Outbound Collective + Save to a List

If you’ve got an itch to travel somewhere this winter and you’re craving warmer conditions and epic scenery, you might want to look to the Southern Hemisphere. And if you’re going to cross the equator, you may as well go big and head far south to some of the world’s most iconic and jaw-dropping scenery. Argentina and Chile are home to staggering mountain landscapes, otherworldly desert, and surreal glaciers that you really need to see for yourself in order to comprehend the scale and fully appreciate their beauty.

There’s a lot of ground to cover and you really can’t go wrong, but we’ve shared some of the most popular adventures that our community has shared from Argentina and Chile below. We’ve split them up by country, but note that many of these adventures are near the Argentina-Chile border. The best way to plan your trip is to check out the adventures below, then search a destination like Torres del Paine National Park on our Adventures page and map your route from there (we hear The Outbound is pretty good for road trips).
