The trail is mostly shaded following the river and returning back through a meadow. The area preserves several endagered plants such as the smooth purple cone flower and indigo. The trail is skinny and very well maintained. One section near the back end of the loop by the river is a little rocky woth a steep incline up towards the meadow section.
