Concrete and Wooden Bridge Fire Road Loop Trail Reviews

Overall, a wonderful hike. Everything within the Duke Forest is very well maintained with lots of descents and inclines that make it more of an intermediate hike. There are several access points from different ends of the loop. The last section is about a half a mile on the side of the main road. The true distance is 4.5 miles to complete the loop. The majority of the hike is also under tree cover so the shade makes it nice great for hiking on a hot day. The versatility of this hike is fantastic with lots of foot trails that branch off of the main road trails. The main trails allow bicycles horses in addition to hiking. The foot trails are for walking, hiking and running only.
