Relax at Nyang Nyang Beach

Kuta Selatan, Indonesia

Description

Added by Sarah Horn

The steep hike down to this jewel-toned beach keeps the crowds away.

Nyang Nyang Beach is one of those secret-feeling beaches that we all want to find. Once you get to the parking area you walk down a steep dirt road for about a half mile. There aren't any warungs down at the beach so bring snacks and drinks, although there is one where you park to stock up on cold drinks. Do some good and bring plastic bags with you to clean up some of the trash that inevitably litters the beaches here.

The beach is gorgeous with soft sand, turquoise waters and some rock formations to explore.

To get there, rent a scooter. Drive south on Jl. Raya Uluwatu Pecatu towards Uluwatu temple. You can go right towards the temple, but you want to go left. In another 150 yards or so before some warungs and a laundrette turn right down the dirt road until the road ends. You should see a small wooden sign saying Nyang Nyang surf beach, you'll also see small warung and signs for paragliding.
