One of the few Milwaukee County parks right along the shorelines of Lake Michigan.
This park has it all. There is ample parking, full bathrooms, and picnic areas. The trail starts right at the parking lot and there are two different paths you can take:
1.) Follow the paved path down toward the lake on the north side of the parking lot
2.) Walk straight from the parking lot across the field and look for the staircase down to the lake among the trees.
Once you get down to the lake, there is an amazing beach/shoreline that you can hike along and there are two prominent jetties that you can enjoy sunrise on.
In the winter: The ice forms massive shelves along the shoreline that can be dangerous and beautiful at the same time. Cramp-ons are a must!
