Photograph Cathedral Falls

This is a gorgeous 60+ foot roadside waterfall close to the New River Gorge.
Since this waterfall is less than 200 feet from the parking lot, visiting this waterfall provides a huge reward for minimal physical effort. From the parking lot, cross the bridge over the stream and follow the trail on the right side of the stream/waterfall. To have the best view of the falls cross the stream (there are plenty of big rocks to do so). Early morning is optimal for long exposure photography.

Awesome falls for photography. They're really dramatic if you get the angle right and the multiple levels or "stairs" can create a deep effect for a finished photo.

Catherderal Falls
This waterfall is on of my favorites in West Virginia. The way it sets back into the hill makes it seem more dramatic. It is definitely worth a visit and very close to many other things to do along the midland trail.
