Run The Green Lake Park Loop
Details
Added by Jill Kranz
An easy 2.8-mile run around the lake. Convenient, flat, well-paved, and scenic. Great bars and restaurants nearby to hit post-run.
Looping around a freshwater lake surrounded by tranquil natural scenery, Green Lake Park trail is considered by many to be Seattle’s go-to running spot. I love it because it’s an urban run that doesn’t feel like one. It’s especially popular with beginning runners and the after-work/weekend crowd. With its set distance, it’s perfect for timed runs and interval training.

Even in the rain people are out here dedicated to enjoying life outside. It is lovely. Very simple run. I like how there is a running path (better when it is not raining so you done soak your feet or twist an ankle running in sludge).

A nice easy loop...
Convenient access in central North Seattle makes this a great spot for a short jog. While on your run enjoy excellent people watching, dog watching, and tranquil views of Green Lake. If you're able, the Discovery Park loop trail in Magnolia is a much nicer and well-groomed trail run with far superior scenery and less crowds.

Nice Run...crowded
A nice three mile loop around Greenlake. Get there early, get there late...doesn't really matter: it is a high traffic area and is always a bit crowded. A nice run though, and a place to enjoy the outdoors in the city.

One of the little gems we have here!

Nothin But Good Vibes
Great spot for a jog, frisbee or pick-up basketball. Parking can be a problem. Don't be surprised if you have to park on the street up a block or so from the park.
