Starting near historic buildings, this trail is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with frequent sightings of foxes, rabbits, snakes, and soaring eagles.

As the trail ascends, visitors are treated to breathtaking views, with the Lookout Bench providing a perfect spot to rest and take in the scenery. The path then descends gently toward South Beach, unveiling panoramic vistas of the North Cascades, Lopez Island, Mount Baker, and the shimmering waters of Griffin Bay.
