45 minute drive from Seattle to the rugged, beautiful, busy Mt. Si.
Mt. Si is a heavily trafficked trail less than an hour from Seattle. Get here early to secure a parking spot and hang your Discover pass.
This hike is wooded and a constant, steady ascent. A good go to condition hike with great pay off at the end. Many use the trail to train to summit Mt. Rainier. Hiking time is 3-5 hours.
This trail is accessible year-round with the proper gear. Bring microspikes in the winter as the trail doesn't get a chance to melt during the day and is covered mostly in ice and snow.
Hike all the way to the top to a great overlook over I-90 with views of the surrounding peaks and Mt. Rainier if you're lucky. The real adventurous take on the haystack- the scramble to the highest point. What ever you're looking for- a good conditioning hike, mountain views, or a rock scramble, Mt. Si has it!
