Description

Added by Ericka Johnson

Dirtyface Lookout is a great half-day hiking adventure with beautiful alpine wildflowers, a cascading waterfall, lake views, and forested trail leading to views of the Glacier Peak Wilderness and Enchantments.

There is a forest service fee (or Northwest Forest Pass) to park at the trailhead behind the Wenatchee Ranger Station.

The trail follows steep switchbacks up 3900ft for just over 4 miles (9.5 mi RT), with intermittent shady breaks in the forest and incredible views of Lake Wenatchee. Bring your bugspray in the springtime, as they can be buzzing about during the hike up.

The summit has plenty of space to spread out for lunch or a picnic, just watch out for the opportunistic chipmunks!

Dirtyface Lookout is both family friendly and solo hiker friendly. It can be a great fitness hike due to the elevation gain, or a great spot to go birding. The views at the top make all the effort so worth it!
