About this place

Added by Elyse Clark

Visit one of the most photographed locations on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a historic mill built in the early 1900's that is still in operation.

Mabry Mill is one of the most photographed spots on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and rightfully so. Located at MP 176.1 the mill is beautiful in any season and easily accessed from the parking lot. Since this place is so popular, be prepared for crowds.

This place is a nice " leg-stretcher" if driving the Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway or a short side trip from the trailhead if you're hiking Rock Castle Gorge.

Visitors can also find bathrooms, a gift shop selling cornmeal and buckwheat flour ground on-site, and a restaurant. The restaurant (open daily May 1 to Nov. 1) stays busy, but it's worth it! Try their pancakes for breakfast, or pulled pork barbecue for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed.
