Bike the W&OD Trail

Rate this Adventure 45 miles  - Point-to-Point Trail

Added by Stephen Catalano

Flat, easygoing, and well-kept trail in Northern VA thats perfect for an afternoon bike ride.

The Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) trail stretches through northern Virginia and is a great spot for bike riding, running, or walking. The trail is paved, well maintained, and wide enough for traffic in both directions. There are also a couple breweries along the way that you can make a full day out of! I'd recommend stopping in at Caboose Brewing (pictured) in Vienna, VA.

The trail is as long as you want to make it, but the entire trail stretches from Shirlington to Purcellville, VA, 45 miles total.
