Enjoy a cruiser tower with enough room on top for victory beers with a view.

Owl Rock is a fun, 100' single pitch spire right in the middle of Arches National Park. The approach is minimal, just a few minutes walk from the parking lot, and there's plenty of room at the base to set up for a nice day under the sun. It's a popular spot, so in case there's a short line, bring some snacks and drinks and lizard on the warm rocks until you're up. There's also a decent amount of space up top, so make someone in your party haul up some drinks to enjoy up top. Just be sure to pack it out, like always.

The one route to the summit goes at 5.8 and feels mostly pretty easy. Bring a standard single rack and build an anchor on the chains at the top.

Ideal time to climb in the area is spring and fall. Summer will be HOT. Winter is fine if the rock is dry, but it gets cold in the desert in the winter.

Climb Owl Rock in Arches National Park Reviews

This is a fun little climb if you are already in Arches and looking to do something different besides hiking or canyoneering. The summit is also cool as you can see over a lot of the lower portion of Arches. I am not sure I would seek this out if you are coming to Moab to climb though as there are many other quality climbs that do not cost money to get to.
