Description

Easy car access to this track of dinosaur prints. Located in a beautiful desert scenery just before the border with Arches National Park.

I'm always find dinosaur tracks fascinating. Willow Springs has a few cool tracks not as defined as others but definitely noticeable. There is also an interpretive sign describing the tracks installed by the Bureau of Land Management.

To find the tracks, drive north on 191. Over the Colorado River and drive until you pass route 313 on the left. Willow Springs rd is the second right after route 313. Continue on Willow Springs road and just before you get to the boarder with Arches National Park there is a marker sign on the right. The tracks are easy to find.  A normal passenger car can drive this road.

If we did it again, I’d go during a time when nobody would be there, huge crowd of people!

Great roadside stop to check out recently discovered dinosaur tracks petrified in mud. Very cool to see when mountain biking the nearby Monitor Merrimac trail.
