Hike the spectacular Grand Wash through beautiful vertical sandstone walls.
The Grand Wash is a canyon in Capitol Reef National Park featuring several-hundred-foot-tall sandstone walls. The canyon walls are, for the most part, widely spaced, except for a half mile long section of scenic "narrows".
Hike to nearby Cassidy Arch if you have extra time.
Beware of potentially deadly flash floods, get a flash flood report from a ranger.

Easy And Flat But Neat
The grand was was a neat hike (or walk). We combined the hike with Cassidy arch. I don't think I would do that again because I appreciated the walk back a lot more. It was pretty though and it was cool to wander through the narrows. My kids loved exploring the wash on the way to Cassidy arch. I would definitely recommend this hike

Another beautiful hike in this under-appreciated NP.
