The Alien Tower via Deer Ridge Trailhead is a moderate 2.6-mile out-and-back trail located in the foothills of Draper, Utah. With an elevation gain of approximately 500 feet, this scenic hike rewards adventurers with panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley and access to the iconic "Alien Tower" - a distinctive radio tower perched atop the ridgeline.

Beginning at the Highland Boulevard trailhead, hikers follow a well-maintained dirt path that steadily climbs through oak brush and sagebrush terrain typical of the Wasatch foothills. The trail features several switchbacks as it ascends, offering increasingly impressive views of the surrounding landscape. During spring, the hillsides come alive with wildflowers, including lupine, Indian paintbrush, and balsamroot.

The hike's difficulty is rated as moderate, due to elevation gain and exposed nature. Limited shade makes this trail particularly demanding during summer months, so early morning or late afternoon starts are recommended. Winter hiking is possible but may require traction devices due to snow and ice.
