Fish at Upper Tawa Pond
Details

This is a great pond super close to St. George. It is stocked with a bunch of hungry fish ready to take whatever you throw at them!
Upper Tawa Pond is a small, 0.8 acre pond located just off of Snow Canyon Parkway. You can catch largemouth bass, sunfish, bluegill, and rainbow trout.
The Rainbow Trout are stocked in this pond November through April. These fish do well in these months because it is cool enough for them. It is recommended that if you are over 14 years of age that you use artificial lures or flies. Because of this I would recommend using a Jake's Stream-a-Lure or a Mepp's Lure. If you have kids with you that can use bait then I would try tying on some weights or a bobber and some Powerbait or worms. If fly fishing is more your thing your best bet would probably be a nymph under a strike indicator. Through the cooler months rainbow trout are most likely the only fish you will catch.
In the summer you will probably have a better shot at bass and panfish. Use grubs, plastics, crankbaits, or any other lure that would usually work for bass. Also the city would like that you release all bass caught on the water.
Have fun and practice Leave No Trace. Good luck fishing!
