Catch a Sunset at the Great Salt Lake Marina

Rate this Adventure Utah Great Salt Lake State Marina

Added by David Waugh

The sunsets never disappoint. Quick drive from Salt Lake City.

Head west on I-80 and get off on the Saltair exit. You will drive past the music venue and into the Great Salt Lake state park. Right before the marina you will veer left onto a dirt road and this will take you right up to the black rock. Prepare yourself for the wonderful smell of the Great Salt Lake. The sunsets are always rad. You will be able to see Antelope Island off in the distance.

Hike the Arizona Trail: Buckskin Mountain Passage from Stateline Campground

Utah / Stateline Campground, Utah

Depending how you approach this 800 mile trail, I did the first 4 miles or last 4 miles as an out and back from Stateline Campground on the Utah/Arizona state line and the border of Vermil.

Hike to the Klondike Bluff Dinosaur Track

Utah / Klondike Bluff Road, Moab

I think these tracks are the best in Moab. Take route 191 north out of Moab for about 13 miles (mile post 142). Klondike Bluff road is on the right. If you pass the airport, you went too far.

Hike the Aztec Butte Trail

Utah / Aztec Butte Trailhead, Canyonlands

The Aztec Butte Trail is a two pronged out and back trail for a total of two miles. The trail is single track and easy to follow. After a third of a mile the trail splits.
