Ken's Lake is a convenient place to camp when visiting Moab. A great place to escape the camping crowds along the Colorado River

Ken's Lake is an excellent location for peace and quiet. It is operated by the Bureau of Land Management and you can register on site or the reservation system at Recreation.gov. There are three group sites and 30 tent sites so relatively small. Faux Waterfall is within walking distance and a nice place to explore.

Ken's Lake does have a beach and swimming is permitted but there are no lifeguards.  There are toilets at the campsite but no running water so be prepared and have enough water and supplies with you.

When setting up your tent, be sure to check the ground closely.  We set up in the dark and camped here for three nights.  Little did we know one of our tents were on top of a field mouse den.  Quite a surprise when we broke camp the morning of our departure.

Camp at Kens Lake Campground Reviews

Cheapest place to pay camp in Moab that still has cell service. Clean campground. There’s cows that come through. Nice view of the lake. No hookups or anything but there’s some bathrooms. $20/night
