Get a unique view of the River Tay and the town of Perth, Scotland from the top of Kinnoull Hill. Just a few minutes from the center of town Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park is a perfect place to get out and breathe some fresh air, not to mention the view is incredible.
Arriving at Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park is about a 1.5 mile walk from the center of town, or if arriving in a vehicle you can enter "Quarry Car Park" into your GPS and you should not have an issue.
Once there you can leave your vehicle in the Quarry Car Park for free and the walking path is a couple of feet from the parking lot. There are various paths that will take you off the main path but they ultimately lead to the same place (the top of the hill). The main path can become a bit muddy at times but is usually avoidable. From the parking lot, the elevation gain is minimal and you don't really notice walking through the forest.
At the top you will notice the path ends at an opening that leads to the edge of the cliff. You can also take any of the various side paths to explore the park or get back to the parking lot.
Take your time checking out the park as there are numerous wood carvings of animals along the paths and also the remains of an old castle over looking the River Tay.
