Description

Added by Gustavo Quiros

A beautiful hike with mossy trails, waterfalls, old bridges and some of the tallest trees in Britain.

Arrive at the Hermitage Car Park right off the A9, and the trail begins just feet from your car. The trail goes through dense forest along the banks of the River Braan, continuing on the path takes you to The Black Linn Falls viewpoint, also known as Ossian's Hall. Not too far from there you will find an old moss covered bridge that you can also go under and check out the rapids from the falls.

This hike really makes you feel like you have gone back in time. The atmosphere is a photographers dream.  This is a must-do hike if you are in or visiting Dunkeld.

Black Linn Falls via The Hermitage Car Park Reviews

It can get really busy, especially during peak season, with tourists. If you're looking for a quieter hike, take a different route through or visit outside of peak season 🙂 Due to the reintroduction of beavers in Scotland, you can also see beaver dens here!
