Intro to Trekking: 10 Adventures around the World

Travel is better when you hoof it.

By: The Outbound Collective + Save to a List

If you ask us, there’s no better way to explore a new destination than by foot. Walking, hiking, and trekking around cities, towns, and the wilderness not only slows your pace, allowing you to appreciate every site along the way, but we also find that working up a little sweat makes the views (and dinner) that much more rewarding.

Embarking on a multi-day hiking journey may seem intimidating to some, but with the right crew and itinerary, even travelers with no hiking experience can get started exploring the world one step at a time. MT Sobek is the leading provider for guided adventures around the world and have an easy rating system to understand which adventure level is right for you. These 10 adventures provide an option for anyone interested in trekking around the world whether you want to start slow with short hikes within city limits or jump right into a 12-day trek.
