5 Adventurous Destinations to Spend a Weekend With Your Girlfriends

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be hard to break away and spend time with your favorite humans.

Sometimes, all it takes is a place to go...a destination to escape from your regular routine, enjoy each others' company, and head out on memorable adventures.

Book time away with your girlfriends to one of these destinations that mix together some of our favorite weekend ingredients: exploration, food, drink, and relaxation.

We promise you won't regret it.

Charleston, South Carolina

Slow down the pace with a ladies-only weekend trip to Charleston, South Carolina. Bask in the charm of the historic city, make friends with the welcoming locals, and explore the haunting beauty of southern forests and the fresh air along the Atlantic shore.

Spend the weekend walking the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, kayak through saltwater creeks, tour the historic Aiken-Rhett House, and grab a bite at Zero Restaurant + Bar

Sedona, Arizona

Get metaphysical in the place where spirituality and raw natural beauty have been colliding for decades: Sedona, Arizona.

Sedona is a well-trodden tourist destination, and the town is set up to cater to visitors. This is great for a weekend jaunt with your ladies because it means you can spend more time enjoying each other's company, and less time on logistics.

While in Sedona, hike to one of the many vortexes (we love Cathedral Rock), walk gratitude circles at Amitabha Stupa & Peace Park, get a massage at Mii Amo in Enchantment Resort, and take a jeep tour through the canyons.

Sun Valley, Idaho

Old-school charm and an authentic mountain-town vibe make for a memorable weekend in Sun Valley, Idaho. Sun Valley was the first destination ski resort in the United States, and its understated glamour continues to draw in celebrities, ski bums, and anyone looking to get off-the-beaten-path.

Ground your weekend by staying in the centrally-located Limelight Hotel. Hike or mountain bike one of the hundreds of miles of trails that leave from town, and don't miss the chance for a spa treatment, yoga class, or year-round heated swim at Zenergy Health Club and Spa.

The Berkshires, Massachusetts

Great hiking, relaxing spas, arts and culture, and farm-to-table restaurants await in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. An easy drive from New York City (or fly into nearby Hartford, Connecticut), the Berkshires are perfect for escaping from the grind.

Make a weekend itinerary out of a hike up Monument Mountain, a yoga class at world-famous Kripalu, dinner and margaritas at Xicohtencatl, and a stop by the Normal Rockwell Museum.

San Juan Islands, Washington

Fly into Seattle, meet your friends, and then hop on a ferry to the wild beauty of the San Juan Islands. The San Juans let you choose your own adventure by offering everything from a spa-filled weekend, to winery tours, to a rugged expedition of kayaking and camping

Our biased opinion? Definitely don't miss the chance to whale watch (by kayak or on a cruise), and head to Island Hoppin' Brewery to order flights of beer and re-connect with your favorite ladies.
