Description

A great and engaging hike in the Austin Hill Country.

The Valburn Switchback Party is a 1.1 mile loop hike located within the Bull Creek Greenbelt of northwest Austin. This trail is part of the Valburn trail system and is mostly shaded. It features several mild inclines and the switchbacks on the trail are decently moderate. It's a great exercising trail and is not often too trafficked. Mornings on the trail are quieter and the wildlife is abundant.

Parking can be a little tricky to find. The coordinates on this adventure will take you to the Offers.com building, but if you pass the building there should be a small parking lot that you can park in. Dogs are welcome, just be sure to clean up after them! There are no bathrooms. And due to the inclinations and rugged trail, the trail does not serve those with mobility issues well.
