The Twin Falls and Sculpture Falls Hike is an extremely popular hike through the rolling hills of Austin, that features two beautiful waterfalls.

This hike is about 3.2 miles in total and is an out-and-back trail found within the Barton Creek Greenbelt stretch. The trail follows along the Barton Creek and is popularly known for the two major waterfalls it entails: Twin Falls and Sculpture Falls, which are very popular swimming destinations. The head of the trail is easily accessible, located right off of Loop 1 (aka Mopac Expressway). Parking is very abundant, though during the summer months it does tend to fill up. Twin falls is an extremely small hike only about half a mile from parking, but there is a rocky descent to get there. Sculpture Falls is further north along the trail from Twin Falls. The trail is not handicap accessible. It is a great place for dogs and kids. Just be sure to clean up any trash and pick up after your pets!

It should be noted that depending on the season and the rainfall for that particular year, the greenbelt may be dry or have very little water flow. And in that case, the waterfalls will not be flowing at all.

Twin Falls and Sculpture Falls via Barton Creek Greenbelt Trail Reviews

Pretty easy hike, heavily trafficked, but the falls were lovely. Nice little swimming hole although when I went, it warned about some dangerous algae. Most people seemed not to carešŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
