Turkey Creek Trail is a beautiful Texas Hill Country hike featuring a running stream, an abundance of wildlife, and pretty wildflowers.

Turkey Creek trail is a 2.7 mile out-and-back hike located within Emma Long Metropolitan Park in Northwest Austin, Texas. This trail is perfect for cycling, running, walking, and general exercise. The trail is made of dirt with few inclines. Please note, however, at the beginning of the trail there are some stairs and uneven grounds. You must cross the creek to continue the trail, though at this point the creek often does not flow hard nor high.

Turkey Creek Trail heavily trafficked and particularly on weekends. The only parking lot is located off of the main road, Park City Rd and has very limited capacity. No street parking is allowed nor encouraged as the main road is very narrow. The trail is not handicap friendly.

The park is very dog friendly but please be advised that many owners allow them to run freely off-leash. Remember to pick up after them!
