The Shoal Creek Greenbelt Trail is a moderate hike, run, or walk in Austin, Texas.

The Shoal Creek trail is located along the Shoal Creek Greenbelt which stretches the length of central/downtown Austin. It is a 5-mile loop trail following along Shoal Creek. Much of the trail runs through residential area. And though it runs parallel to a creek, itis a city trail and not ideal for nature watching. The trail is moderately trafficked and is mostly paved.

The trail is perfect for walking/running/cycling. It runs through several large areas and Pease Park which are perfect for yoga, relaxing, or bringing the kids or dogs. The trail also features several benches for sitting

The trail is very dog-friendly, just be sure to pick up after them! Free parking can be found on various streets west of Lamar Blvd, with easy access to the trail. It is handicap accessible.
