Springfield Nature Trail

Navasota River Trail is an approximately 3.4 mile out and back trail following along the Navasota with several viewpoints located near Mexia, TX. This is a great trail for hiking, running, or simply stretching your legs. Dogs are welcome on the trail on-leash. 

Hubbard City Lakes Park is located about two miles south of the town center of Hubbard off of Highway 31. If you're heading south on 31 you'll make a right on to Country Road 3360 (and if you're heading north you'll make a left). Fairfield State Park North Loop is a ~2 mile trail with spectacular lake views located near Fairfield, TX. This trail is dog friendly (on-leash).

Cameron Park is shared by hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and dog walkers. You can also fish and canoe in the park. The trail system offers scenic views of the surrounding landscape and is a great place to see wildflowers and wildlife.  There are restrooms, water fountains, picnic areas, frisbee golf, trail maps, and activity guides at the park entrance.

Tonkawa Falls Park is located just outside Crawford, TX (28 minutes, 21 miles) West from Waco, TX. The pocketed limestone bluffs that surround Tonkawa Falls hosts a number of established boulder problems ranging in difficulty from (V1 - V6+).
