Located on the far North side of Lake Lavon, Sister Grove Park offers a convenient place to hike, mountain bike, cook-out and chill.Sister Grove Park is a peaceful place to hang a hammock and listen to the birds after a solid hike.
The parking area contains ample parking, bathrooms and covered picnic tables. The clearly marked trail head sits to the south of the circular parking area and welcomes hikers, trail-runners, mountain bikers, and dogs.
The trail is a 7 mile loop that consists of 4 smaller trails that are clearly marked. The Sister Loop runs down close to the lake and is heavily wooded.
Due to the views of the lake, wildlife, open meadows and cedars, Sister Grove has become a popular destination for photography. On the weekends, head to downtown Farmersville for the Farmer's Market at the Onion Pavilion.
