Lost Trail is a gorgeous and moderate hike with beautiful scenery through Upper Bull Creek.
Lost Trail is a 1.3 mile loop hike through the Upper Bull Creek Greenbelt in northwest Austin, Texas. The trail features a beautiful waterfall, an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers, several benches, and many beautiful scenes.
During the wet season, the creek fills up and flows very nicely. The main waterfall found on this trail is a popular swimming hole. Though depending on the amount of rainfall for that year, the creek may dry up and have little to no water flow.
This trail is highly trafficked but parking is plentiful. Bathrooms can be found next to the parking lots and the trailhead can be found across the road from the parking lot. Children and dogs are more than welcome on this trail, just please be advised that the parking lots are located right off of Old Spicewoods Springs Rd which is a pretty narrow, but very busy road. Due to the nature of the trail, it is not handicap friendly.
