Description

Copper Breaks State Park is a quiet state park with big, open skies and lots of stars. This park is part of the International Dark-Sky Association (ISA) and has a portion of the official Texas longhorn herd.

Copper Breaks offers some great, private and group campsites that boast beautiful, Texas overlooks, click here for reservations. The two loops to the northeast and southeast are group camping sites. This quiet park is great for camping, picnicking, backpacking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.

If you go in the winter months, you may find that you have the park almost all to yourself. Relax with a hot cup of tea and watch the sun go down and the sky full of stars come out.
