Beautiful hike on a greenway to North Boundary Quarry
The parking at the trailhead is right off of the Oak Ridge turnpike so its very easy to park and there are plenty of spots to park. The trail is very wide and is a great place for taking kids and riding your bike. There are more than one trail that you can take to get to the quarry from the trailhead but they all lead to the quarry so you can take any trail. The best trail to take is to go to the left when the trail splits and it takes you to multiple points along the quarry. There is swimming allowed in the quarry however it might not be the best idea cause the water is stillwater and might be dirty. There are some places to cliff jump but not many. There is one spot that is good for fishing at the end of the quarry.

Hike to North Boundary Quarry Reviews
First time I’ve taken a completely different route (from Croet Heritage Center) to visit the quarry and I’m so glad I did! Fall colors are already incredible, the area surrounding the quarry was mostly trash/debris free up, and my chosen route was mostly shaded. Perfect day

The quarry is a great place for enoing and swimming. There some small “cliffs” to jump off into the water and lots of trees for hanging hammocks. You’ll occasionally find a hypodermic needle but this IS oak ridge after all.
