Cub Lake Trail Reviews

There is a trail that goes all the way around the lake that was listed as about 5.2 miles on the trailhead sign. I started at the trail head near cabin #2 and ended on the other side of the cabin area. The trail came to the road, and I cut through some other cabins, playground areas, and wooden bridges to complete the loop back to my car. The trail was wet in spots, but there were small bridges, some wooden planks, and logs along the way. Saw a number of woodpeckers and heard other birds but ended up having trouble seeing any walking into the afternoon sun and having no spring foliage. I ran into one other person walking a dog and there were some people kayaking. Other than that, my Aussie and I ruled the wood peacefully for a few hours.
