This amazing trail system provides many miles of snowshoe, fat tire bike, and cross country routes. The cross country trails are groomed on a daily basis.

From Spearfish, head south on Tinton Rd. for roughly 8 miles. There will be a large parking lot to your right with a pit toilet and an information kiosk. The actual trail head is across the road from the parking lot. There are four different loops in the system all of varying difficulty and length. The Loops A, B, C and D are 2.6, 3.5, 6.9, and 7.5 respectively and can be combined for longer pursuits.Every trail is groomed except for Loop B and the spur trail that takes you to an over look over Spearfish Canyon.

If you do not have your own gear, snowshoes, skis, and fat tire bikes can all be rented from Rushmore Mountain Sports in Spearfish, SD. They will also be able to provide maps and same day trail information.
