Kalmia Gardens is a botanical garden located in Hartsville, South Carolina. This trail through the gardens is relatively easy garden is accessible without admission daily.

A very nice hike down to the river behind the Hart Plantation home. Explore this very historic home from the Civil War along with the Jacob Kelley House a mile away.

The trail goes down a well maintained walkway seeing many different flora and fauna along the trail.

As the river winds around the walkway and trail you will go through swamp and river seeing many different birds and fish.

This location is very pleasant and quiet.

Lovely hike through a canopy of trees. Didn’t meet a single human just peaceful and serene sounds from the birds and insects. Wear good sturdy shoes or hiking boots as there are lots of tree roots and uneven ground.
