Added by Blake Rouse
Camp next to beautiful beach scenery at Hunting Island State Park's family-friendly camping area.
More than a million visitors a year are lured to the 5,000 acre park, once a hunting reserve. The park features thousands of acres of march and maritime forest, and five miles of beach. It has a salt water lagoon and an ocean inlet as well. It also has an old light house that is open to the public for a 2 dollar admission fee.
In the winter the park offers a quiet coastal retreat with tons of nature trails and beach walks. In the summer there is fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking etc. There is a 1,200 feet fishing pier that is known for it's shark fishing nearby in the Fripp inlet. In the Nature Center, visitors will find live animals and exhibits about the habitats that you can see in the park. Marsh Boardwalk is a must see for any photographers as well. Hunting Island is a must for any beach lovers/campers.

Camp at Hunting Island State Park Reviews
Just a very nice place to see. Be careful as the camping fills fast spring and fall. The ticks are very very bad here. The beach is awesome at night.
