Hike to Viševnik

The adventure begins at a large parking area that is originally a part of a cross-country skiing center, but you can park there with no problem. First, the trail goes through a light forests, if you don't spot it at first, just try to find the signpost and it will lead you to it. You quickly arrive to a ski lift, which is, during winter as well, usually closed. Here the path truly begins. Continue your hike under the ski lift, which will take you to the path, starting at the end of the lift. Then another 2 hours or so of hiking takes place.

When arriving to the top you will receive the most spectacular views on mountains around, among them Slovenia's highest mountain Triglav, to which you are so close you could almost touch it.

During winter Viševnik is also a popular destination for powder skiing, which we tried out as well. It's super cool, but can be dangerous at the top, as it's very steep, so be careful if you try so. Also low pine trees can cause some difficulties as you can get caught in them or even lost as there are so many of them.
