FREE camping 30 minutes from Grand Teton National Park:

There is so much to see and do in Wyoming's national parks but with a view like this and when the price is right at $0/night (!!) it is pretty unlikely you will want to leave this spot. We have been road tripping the U.S. for 11 months and this is by far THE TOP BOONDOCKING CAMPSITE in the country for us. Sedona's Angel Valley is another top contender but the remoteness of this Upper View campground just can't be beat.

TO ACCESS: use GPS coordinates: 43.7638, -110.5538. You will find the your turn right across the street from Cunningham Cabin Historic Site. The road to Upper View Campground is dirt but doable in pretty much any car or RV rig. The campground isn't exactly a secret but there is plenty of room for everyone. Once you reach the top of the hill, take your first left and choose a spot of your liking.

The Must Hike nearby:

If you find yourself ready to sneak in a hike one day, make sure to tackle the 16.5 miles through Cascade Canyon to the breathtaking Lake Solitude. Take the Jenny Lake boat shuttle to shave off a few miles each way. This is an exceptional day hike with incredible views of Grand Teton and surrounding mountains.

The Must Eat nearby:

If you find yourself too tired to cook by the fire, venture into the town of Jackson for beers and burgers at The Bird. Enjoy yet another beautiful view at this friendly, local joint.

The Must-Do Yoga nearby:

If you find yourself sore from all the view admiring, check out one of the many spectacular classes at Inversion Yoga Studio in Jackson. Your first class is only $10!
