There are problems for intermediate as well as more advanced climbersThere is a barbecue area at the beach to hang out and relax afterwardDuration: Half day
Stinson offers up a great beach day with a few activities for everyone to enjoy. If you head toward the south end of the beach, you'll come across a few boulder problems, including the 2 most popular: Are You Experienced and The Old Man. Are You Experienced is the smaller of these 2 boulders, but offers up more of the challenging problems. It's also more accessible since it's further from the coastline, making it less tide dependent. The Old Man is provides a few problems and spots to toprope since it's higher, but is closer to the water, so it can get pretty wet when the tide rolls in. There are also several other boulder problems to explore with varying degrees of difficulty.

Our mission at SuperTopo is to create the world's best climbing guidebooks. Here's our story... In 1999, I decided to start SuperTopo as a result of a need and a surprise. The need was for up-to-date, accurate topos. When I climb I am often frustrated by the lack of good beta available. Personally, I want good information so that I can focus on the climbing, not on whether I am off route. So, I created the SuperTopos, the most detailed and informative climbing topos ever published. Look for four key SuperTopo features: Climbing route history and story telling; Detailed topo: pitch lengths, gear sizes, beta, beta, beta; Strategy, retreat, and storm information for each route; Detailed approach and descent maps.Follow

San Francisco / Taber Nature Trail, Standish-Hickey State Recreation Area
Signs at the trail head for the Tabor Trail state it is 1.1 miles long. That is much shorter than the actual 1.8 miles my GPS put it at. The trail sign also claims it is wheelchair accessible.

The Founder's Grove is easily accessed from Highway 101 in northern California. The grove is also on the Avenue of the Giants Scenic Highway.
