The Skyline Gate Staging Trail in Redwood Regional Park is a perfect hike for those of all skill levels, easily accessible from anywhere in the Bay Area.
The trail is lined with beautiful Redwoods and Eucalyptus Trees. There is lots of shade, but bring ample water just in case. Watch for roots and large rocks on the trail. The trail is generally well-maintained, but can get narrow in the winter. Dogs are allowed in Redwood Regional Park, but must be kept on leash.
