Hike to Bushkill Falls

Pennsylvania Bushkill Falls Parking Area

Added by Tyler Cranden

This is an easy hike in eastern Pennsylvania with trails of varying lengths, bringing you to views of 8 different waterfalls.

Bushkill Falls offers visitors a choice of 4 different trails to explore. All trails are very well maintained, making this trip safe for the whole family.

The most rewarding trail is the Red Trail. This route brings you to all 8 of Bushkill's waterfalls. Taking the trail counter-clockwise, you will come across Pennell Falls in less than 1/4 mile. The trail continues to loop around and hit 6 more waterfalls, 2 of my favorites being Bridesmaid's Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Finally, at the end of the loop you will hit the 8th and most spectacular waterfall; Main Falls.

At the trailhead there is a souvenir/snack building in case you are hungry or care to bring home a trinket.

Bushkill Falls

It's beautiful! I did this hike with my two children (5 and 2 years old) Some parts are rocky but it's a pretty easy 2 1/2 mile hike. It's perfect for an easy/fun family hike

One of PA's Great Treasures

I grew up near Bushkill Falls so I went often as a kid, and loved it every time. It's a beautiful place for photography (especially in the fall) and the main falls are 100 feet tall, making it one of the tallest waterfalls in the state. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because this land is privately owned and they charge you a whopping $13.50 to see it. This place should be a state park, and free to all.

Beautiful falls

Easy walk through the woods and on wood bridges/pathways for great views of waterfalls. Walk quietly through the woods and be on the look-out: you might be lucky enough to see some wildlife. We saw 2 fawns just off the trail when we went. Many people walked right by and never saw them! Only downfalls are the admission and number of people you are likely to come across.

Hike the White Trail in Ridley Creek State Park

Pennsylvania / Ridley Creek State Park - Pavilion #9

The white trail is the only true loop hike in the park. Strangely enough, it has no official trailhead. You can gain access to the trail from either Pavilion/picnic are #9 or Pavilion/picnic area #16.
